Nhà (Home) is a living room tv shelf and inspired by the ancient three compartments of Vietnamese architecture. Applying the indigo dyeing technique and using wooden materials with bamboo fences, will bring a new experience and enhance the aesthetics of the room.

Nhà is a collaboration between emerging Vietnamese industrial designer Đàm Nhã Hân, Managing Editor of ELLE Decoration Vietnam, Thuy Duong Nguyen Phan, Australian designer and researcher, Ronnie Lacham (RMIT University) and Australian designer co-founder of furniture and object brand Dowel Jones, Dale Hardiman. The primary design is of a TV shelf which employs the process of indigo dyeing of locally supplied wood. Nhà translate to “Home” and as informed by Han, the project “is inspired by the ancient three compartments of Vietnamese architecture and expressed through arrangement by forms, structure, and local materials.” The collaborators meet up monthly via Zoom to support Han in evolving their design.
